This policy describes what the TrufflePigs app ("App") collects, how it's used, and your choices.

1. What We Collect

• Account information — your name, email address, and profile photo as provided by your sign-in provider (Google or Apple). Your email address is also used for the TrufflePigs newsletter, which you join at signup (see the Terms of Service) and can leave anytime via the unsubscribe link in any email or the Newsletter setting in the App.
• Camera photos — frames you capture while scanning. These may incidentally include your surroundings.
• Scan records — item identifications, price estimates, comp data, barcodes you scan, and the actions you take on finds (keep, dismiss, sold, listed).
• Usage analytics — which features you use, on what device, to fix problems and improve the App.
• eBay account link (optional) — if you connect your eBay account to create listings, we store the authorization token eBay issues us. We never see your eBay password.

2. How We Use It

• To provide the service — photos are sent to AI providers (Anthropic) to identify items; item searches are sent to eBay to retrieve pricing data.
• To improve the App — captured photos, identifications, estimates, and outcomes are used to evaluate and improve our AI systems, including training and calibrating our identification and pricing models.
• To power your records — scan history, session totals, and CSV exports.

We do not sell your personal information or share it with third parties for their advertising.

3. Who Processes It

Your data is processed by service providers acting on our behalf: Supabase (database and storage), Anthropic (AI analysis of photos), eBay (item price searches and, if linked, listing creation), and our hosting providers (Fly.io, Vercel).

4. Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data — including all stored photos — directly in the App (Settings → Delete account). Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

5. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Use the in-app deletion or CSV export, or contact us at the address below for any other request.

6. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

7. Changes

We'll update this policy as the App evolves; material changes will be reflected by the date above.
